Brunswick Tradition badge. Worn between the eagle and cockade. Super quality die stamped metal badge with prongs to reverse. The Brunswick (Braunschweig) Totenkopf Traditions Badge was awarded in 1912 to the Braunschweigisches Infanterie-Regt. Nr.92, before this it was also worn by Brunswick Hussar Regiment 17 – Cavalry Regiment
During WW2 the traditions badge was worn on the front of the cap by units of Infantry regiment 17 and 41’st Cavalry regiment from the 4th Cavalry Division.
