D.R.L is an abbreviation for “Deutscher Reichsbund fur Leibesubungen”. The German DRL badge was awarded to both civialn and military recipents. 18 to 32 year old’s who earned the bronze award for 8 years were eligible for the silver grade.Two different versions of the sports badges exist that could be worn in WW2. Early version without the swastika and the later version with swastika.
