WW2 German Police metal cap badge with two prongs to the reverse. Silver version. The Ordnungspolizei, or Orpo were the regular police force in Nazi Germany from 1936 to 1945. The police eagle was the designated national emblem of all police formations. The metal versions are worn on visor caps, the cloth version( also available from Militaria Net) was worn on cloth headgear, m43 ski caps and side caps. A larger cloth version was worn on the tunic sleeve. Many variations in colour will be seen depending on the branch of service.
